PURPOSE:To shorten the designing term of custom and semicustom integrated circuits by selecting cell information necessary in the case of designing the integrated circuits to store it in a predetermined medium. CONSTITUTION:An IC card 1 is set in an IC card reader 6 to externally control a CPU 4 in the IC card, cell information stored in a main memory 2 is fetched, and transferred to an existing CAD unit 7. Accordingly, when cell information necessary in case of designing custom and semicustom ICs for the memory 2 is selected and stored, the cell information necessary to the unit 7 can be immediately called by the reader 6 in case of designing the custom and semicustom ICs. Thus, a plurality of such IC cards are prepared to shorten the designing term.
