PURPOSE:To remarkably elevate an operability, by constituting an aperture controller of a multi-mode camera so that each mode can be switched easily, and in which mode the camera is present can be discriminated easily from the outside. CONSTITUTION:In case of the aperture priority mode, an aperture value of a lens 10 is set by displacing an interlocking member B1 energized by a spring. This displacement is converted to the number of steps indicating how many steps are stopped down from full-aperture, and is inputted to a photometric circuit in a camera body 20. An automatic stopping lever 11 is set to a full-aperture state irrespective of a preset value, before the shutter is released. A preset aperture ring 1 is stopped down in accordance with operation of the photometric circuit. At the automatic preset position, information concerning a fact that the mode has been switched by a signal piece 1d is inputted from a receiving lever B2 of the body 20 to the photometric circuit. Information concerning how may steps can be stopped down from the full-aperture of the lens 10 to the minimum aperture is inputted to a photometric operating circuit of the body 20. In this way, in which mode the camera is present can be discriminated easily from the outside, and the operating property can be elevated remarkably. |
