PURPOSE:To confirm the soundness of an oscillation detector easily and securely by providing a remotely controllable exciter to a sample and oscillating the sample. CONSTITUTION:A remotely controllable exciter 2 is provided to a sample 1, and thus the sample 1 is oscillated to confirm the soundness of an oscillation detector 14 by using oscillations of the sample. In the exciter 1, when a switch 7 is turned on, a current flows to a coil 3 through a contact 9 and a diaphragm 15 is attracted to an iron core 10 around a fulcrum 5 together with a hammer 11. Then, contacts 9' and 9 separate from each other and the current is ceased to remove the electromagnetic force by the coil 3, thereby allowing the diaphragm 15 to return by its own weight. While the switch 7 is turned on, said operation is repeated and the diaphragm 15 oscillates around the point 5 as the fulcrum, thereby oscillating the surface of piping 1 by the hammer 1. This ocillation is detected by the oscillation detector 14 to confirm the soundness of the oscillation detector. |
