The hydroelectric plant has a machine room for a generator in a casing or so-called bulb which is positioned in a water current in a channel or tunnel in a dam and provided with a shaft for access to the machine room. The upstream front part of the bulb is in front of the facade of the dam on the upstream side, and has guides or supports for dam hatches. - The shaft is wholly or partly in front of the dam facade on the upstream side, and vertically displaceable dam hatches are fitted on opposite sides of the shaft, and run in guides in or on the dam, shaft and bulb. The bulb rests on axially oriented supports and between these supports are hatches of the flap type. The channel or tunnel is fitted in a concrete caisson. |
