PURPOSE:To use the same circuit for high-/low-speed switches, by obtaining a comparison voltage for a current switch through a shunt resistor from an emitter follower power supply, in an ECL circuit having different power supplies for the current switch and the output emitter follower. CONSTITUTION:A comparison voltage of a current switch (2-input OR/NOR) is supplied via a resistor RREP from an emitter follower power supply VT. In lowering the emitter follower power supply voltage, the power consumption is increased, but since a suitable comparison voltage is obtained as a low voltage in follow-up to a reference potential, the circuit can be properly used for high power consumption and high speed switching, and low power consumption and low speed switching by selecting the voltage of the emitter follower power supply with the same circuit constant. |
