PURPOSE:To exhibit an excellent preventive effect on implosion of a cathode-ray tube, by interposing, between the tension band and the outside surface a tape which is prepared by laying a thermosetting type adhesive agent layer on a foaming resin tape and used for preventing the implosion of the cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:A tension band 15 is clamped and fixed to the circumference of an outside surface 14 around the maximum diameter or a funnel 13 adjacent to the face plate 12 of a cathode-ray tube 11, through a foaming layer 16 formed by means of the heat-foaming of a foaming resin tape. And in the figure, A is a thermosetting adhesive agent which was thermosetted. The tension band 15 is wound around the funnel in the state of being heated (mainly, conductive- heat) usually at about 120-400 deg.C, then its starting part and end part are fixed together, by welding, or the like or a tension band previously formed in a ring- shape is fit on and fixed to the funnel. |
