The heatable covering for forming a roof over outdoor installations comprises two parallel films welded in mattress form. A distribution duct for blowing in the hot air and a channel for leading off water of climatic origin are arranged on the lower longitudinal side of the obliquely-tensioned covering. If the covering is provided in a form which can be folded from the two end sides to the centre, then the hot-air channel and the roof conduit can also be folded. Although the construction is also conceivable in rigid form, it is primarily intended to be foldable for the purpose of forming a roof over ice rinks. In both cases the hot-air emission line to the covering is situated in the inside of a downpipe for the water of climatic origin, both these elements consisting of solid material, for example metal.
