DETECTION APPARATUS FOR DETERIORATION OF OIL

PURPOSE:To detect the deterioration of oil easily, by detecting the transmissivity of short wavelength light. CONSTITUTION:Exit light from a SIC short wavelength light emission diode 5 is made incident to oil 1 through an oil pipe 2b transparent to said light. The light transmitted the oil 1 is transmitted the pipe 2b again and is made incident to a solar battery 7. The light made incident to the battery 7 is converted into electromotive force in accordance with its intensity and is amplified by an amplifier 8 to generate an output signal from an output terminal 10 through a comparator 9. The transmissivity of deteriorated oil in this wavelength band is smaller than that of not deteriorated oil because it has an absorption spectrum at 300-400nm short wavelength when the oil is deteriorated.
