PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of a tangle upon a wire stretching work to the minimum by incorporating a load converter in a wire rod guide pulley or a roll shaft bearing portion to detect abnormal tension when the wire rod is tangled, and then stop a work machine. CONSTITUTION:A wire rod 4 from a supply wire rod coil 1 is transported through a pulley or a roll 2 to a wire stretching machine 5. A load converter 8 is incorporated in a bearing portion 3 of the roll 2. When the wire rod is smoothly supplied, tension applied to the wire rod is substantially constant, so that the detection value of the load converter 8 is substantially fixed. If there is something abnormal such as a tangle in the supply wire rod coil 1, abnormal tension is applied to the wire rod, so that the output value of the load converter is abnormal. The detection value is compared with a reference value by a comparator 9, and when it is an abnormal value, an abnormal signal is outputted to a wire stretching machine stopping device 1, and an alarm is given to stop the wire stretching machine. Accordingly, with the minimum influence of a tangle, restoring operation can be carried out. |
