PURPOSE:To inspect the condition of a liquid junction resistance simply by measuring a voltage corresponding to the resistance with an alternating current applied between a comparison electrode and a third electrode which are emmersed in a sample liquid with an ion measuring electrode. CONSTITUTION:An ion electrode 1, a comparison electrode 2 and a third electrode 3 are emmersed in a sample liquid 4 such as factory effluent. These electrodes 1, 2 and 3 are connected to interlocking switches S1, S2 and S3 for mode change for the measuring mode and the inspection mode. The switches are changed over to the measuring mode (as illustrated) to connect voltage generated between the ion electrode 1 and the comparison electrode 2 to a circuitry system 5. When the switches are changed over to the inspection mode, the comparison electrode 2 and the third electrode 3 are connected to a circuitry system 6. The circuitry system 6 comprises an oscillator 7 for applying an alternating current to the comparison electrode 2 and the third electrode 3 and a circuit 8 for d.c. conversion of an alternating voltage generated between the electrodes 2 and 3 and outputs voltage corresponding to a liquid junction of the comparison electrode 2. |
