<p>A continuous process for manufacturing composite articles, such as thin hydraulically bound boards, which are reinforced with separate layers of a stretched, fibrillated, extended plastics net reinforcing material is disclosed. An aqueous suspension of cement or other material is applied onto and into the plastics network, dewatered, taken up and rolled into a composite cylinder until the desired thickness is reached. The cylinder is then cut axially, given the desired shape and cured.</p> |
