An element is proposed which serves to damp pressure oscillations in hydraulic systems, especially in a system for delivering fuel which is fed from a storage tank to an internal combustion engine. The damping element through which the fuel flows and which elastically increases in volume under the effect of each pressure oscillation is arranged in a feedline which leads from a displacement pump to the internal combustion engine. The inflow and outflow apertures in the damping element are so arranged that the direction of flow of the fuel in the damping element is deflected. The build-up of fluid associated therewith effects a particularly effective damping of the pressure oscillations in the hydraulic system. <IMAGE> |
