PURPOSE:To permit the concurrent drive of printing and a paper sending lever as well as simplify the structure of a serial printer using a type wheel by a method in which a printing claw-deficient section is provided on the periphery of a print drive wheel and the claw of a paper feed drive wheel is provided at the position synchronistical to the printing claw-deficient section. CONSTITUTION:A type wheel 10 is turned with a type wheel drive shaft 12 and reciprocally moved toward the axial direction of the type wheel drive shaft 12 by a slide arm 14. A printing operation lever 46 set in the face of a rotary type drive wheel 32 is pressed forwardly by the exciting of a magnet 60 and a coupling claw 52 goes into the projection region of the printing claw 40. The transmission claw 54 of the printing operation lever 46 is coupled with a coupling pin 56, drive force is transmitted to a hammer 44, and printing is made. Papers are sent by a paper sending lever 68 and a paper feed drive wheel 34. Since no printing claw 40 is formed, or the printing claw-deficient section 41 is provided, at the position where the paper sending claw 77 of the paper feed drive wheel 34 is present, the concurrent operation of printing and paper sending can be prevented. |
