PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which has excellent developing characteristics permitting fixing under low pressure and is free from offset phenomena on pressurizing rolls, and melt sticking on the surfaces of developing sleeves and photoreceptors by contg. fine powder of foamed silica on a pressure fixing toner. CONSTITUTION:Fine powder 11 of foamed silica which is produced by contg. amine compds., etc. having >=C8 long alkyl chains in aq. dispersion type colloidal silica, subjecting the mixture to a foaming treatment and granulating the same and has uniform voids is contained in a 1-50pts.wt. range based on 100pts.wt. a toner binder 12, whereby a toner is prepd. In the case of a magnetic toner, magnetic powder is added together with the binder. Thus the toner which is fixed under low pressure, has excellent developing characteristics and is free from coagulation and caking during preservation or use is obtained. |
