TRANSFER PRINT TYPE LINE PRINTER

PURPOSE:To make a transfer print type line printer possible to perform high speed printing by eliminating such an area where image formation is prohibited through the use of a roll of paper having no folding line and lateral perforations. CONSTITUTION:In a line printer which performs printing by transferring images onto a paper, a roll of paper having no folding line and cross perforations is provided at the position of a hopper. An image forming means 6 and a cross perforation processing means 15 are arranged so that the paper 14 is caused to pass through the cross perforation processing means 15 after it has passed through the image forming means 6 of the line printer. The cross perforation processing means 15 may be positioned after a thermal fixing device 10, or at such a position after the transfer print unit 6 and before the thermal fixing device 10.
