The invention describes a fluid friction clutch with temperature control in which it is possible to attach the entire clutch to, for example, an drive shaft of an engine by means of a central bolt passing axially through the clutch, the aim being to cool the engine. A bimetal strip provided for the purpose of temperature control, lying in front of the bolt contains a central cut-out. The fact that the bolt is freely accessible from the front side of the clutch makes extremely simple assembly possible. The invention also makes it possible to construct very flat clutches and furthermore provides the advantage that it is not necessary to remove parts of the temperature control device during assembly or disassembly. This ensures that the clutch characteristic is always constant. |
