<p>PURPOSE:To attain a high density and a high speed in a small-sized reel-to-reel device, by giving a compensating signal, by which the variance of the quantity of torque of a motor driving eacu reel has no influence upon the angular speed, to the driving means of each reel. CONSTITUTION:Reels 2 and 3 driven by motors 4 and 5 have tachometers 6 and 7, and their rotation numbers are detected by detectors 8 and 9 and are sent to a CPU18 to operate momentarily changing diameters of winding of reels. In accordance with diameters of winding of reels at this time, target values 33 and 34 of reel rotation numbers are sent to error detecting circuits 12 and 13. Actual rotation numbers 21 and 22 are compensated in circuits 16 and 17 by feedback to detect errors in circuits 12 and 13, and signals 29 and 30 are servo-amplified in amplifiers 10 and 11 to drive motors 4 and 5. Currents of motors 4 and 5 are detected in detectors 37 and 38, and signals 27 and 28 to compensate the reel inertia of the servo system are generated in operation compensating circuits 14 and 15 and are applied to error detecting circuits 12 and 13. Thus, the tape is always run in a constant speed even if diameters of winding of reels are changed, and a high density and a high speed are attained.</p> |
