PURPOSE:To make it possible to supply secondary air by a single reed valve through a shortest distance with little resistance by means of a single reed valve by forming an upstream chamber at the central portion and also forming a plurality of downstream chambers readially in a substantially same plane with respect to the upstream chamber. CONSTITUTION:When an exhaust gas pulsating pressure is produced within an exhaust gas port and a rear exhaust pipe by the actuation of the engine E, the pressure acts on the downstream chambers d1-d2 of the reed valve L through two secondary air supply pipes 21 and 22, and respective lead valves 16 of lead valve units 131-133 are intermittently opened, the pure atmospheric air within an air cleaner, flows into the upstream chamber u of the reed valve L through a main secondary air supply pipe 18. The atmospheric air flows into the downstream chambers d1-d3 therefrom through reed valve units 131-133, and is introduced from the downstream chambers d1-d3 into the exhaust gas port and the rear exhaust pipe of the exhaust pipe to purify and eliminate unburnt components within the exhaust system. |
