PURPOSE:To drive guide members correctly, by arranging two disc guide members each having an optical disc detector in the longitudinal direction of an insertion entrance and, making directions of each sensing center of these detectors coincident with directions of movement of disc guide members. CONSTITUTION:Two disc guide members 4 and 4' are provided in the longitudinal direction of a disc insertion entrance and are stood on supporting bases 8 and 8'. Supporting bases 8 and 8' can be moved laterally along guide rails 5 and 5' through pulleys 6 and 6 and are moved differentially by a wire 13 stretched between pulleys 10 and 11 driven by motors which are not shown in figure. Disc guide members 4 and 4' have optical sensors 17 and 17' respectively, and directions of their sensing centers are made coincident with a direction X of movement of guide members 4 and 4'. Driving mechanisms which are not shown in the figure are controlled by outputs of sensors 17 and 17' to move supporting bases 8 and 8' differentially. Thus, a disc 2 is loaded correctly independently of the size of the diameter of the disc 2. |
