<p>The wheels are mounted as pairs in a swivel (9) support. One wheel (3) has an elastic tyre around its centre to sit between two rectangular cross section guide rails (7,8). The weight of the wheels is taken up by the shoulders of the two wheels. For running over even ground the tyre contacts the ground. The shoulders of the wheels are sloping to aid the self-centring of the wheels. The system is used to e.g. slide furniture under staging, where restricted headroom prevents entry.</p> |
