PURPOSE:To obtain a reference electrode easy to handle and maintain, by connecting a half cell electrode part with a nonaqueous solvent cell part in a body and providing a capillary at its tip end part. CONSTITUTION:A reference electrode 10 consists of a half cell electrode part 11, a nonaqueous solvent cell part 12 and a capillary 13 and the part 11 and 12 are connected and formed in a body. In case of a calomel electrode, a saturated potassium chloride solution 7 is put in the outer cylinder of the part 11 and calomel mud and mercury are put in the inner cylinder of the part 11. A capillary hole 16 is provided at the bottom of the electrode and the potassium chloride solution and nonaqueous solvent are conducted. Nonaqueous solvent injection holes 14a, 14b and a glass filter 15 are provided in the part 12. Mixing of water from the calomel electrode with a nonaqueous measuring solution is prevent by the filter 15 and dropping and mixing of potassium chloride crystal deposited in the hole 16 to the nonaqueous measuring solution, are prevented. |
