PURPOSE:To prevent the absence of a part of data, by providing a means of detecting the size of a form set on the opposite-side device at this side. CONSTITUTION:This describes a transmission procedure which is followed manually. When an operator at a reception side pushes a reception button, a discrimination signal for a station to be called is sent to a circuit. Further, the reception side sends out a nonstandard device signal to the circuit as an option signal which is usable to discriminate the request of a specific user. An operator on a transmission side confirms an answer from the reception side and then pushes a transmission button. In response to the nonstandard device signal, a transmitter sends a nonstandard device setting signal. This signal contains the form size of a transmission original. Similarly, the side of a form on the reception side is reported to the transmission side. The size of the form is detected optically. |
