PURPOSE:To prohibit the operation of clock mechanisms in the stage of turning a main shaft manually and to operate the main shaft cooperatively with the clock mechanisms in the stage of operating said mechanisms by interposing a slip mechanism between the main shaft and the clock mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of setting time by turning a main shaft 3 manually, a slip is generated between the shaft body 11 of a transmission body 9 in a slip mechanism 8 and a transmission spring 17 engaged with a transmission gear 14, and the gear 14 is held stopped under resistance by clock mechanisms but the body 10 turns cooperatively with the shaft 3 and the cam not shown in the figure turns integrally with the shaft 3, by which the time is set. When the user releases the hand from the shaft 3 upon setting of the time, a pinion 7 and the gear 14 are turned by the clock mechanisms and the spring 17 is turned integrally. The turning of the spring 17 is transmitted to the body 9 by the frictional force with the shaft body 11 of the body 9, by which the body 9, the shaft 3 and the cam are turned backward, and the time limiting operation is started. Upon lapse of the time limit set by the manual operation, a switch or a striker for a bell not shown in the figure is actuated. |
