The invention relates to a cutting machine, in particular a circular-knife slicing machine for foodstuffs, having a housing to which a cutting tool assembly having a cutting tool acting on the product to be cut is fixed by means of a closure so as to be detachable in operation. The object on which the invention is based is to provide a cutting machine of the type described at the beginning, in which safety against injuries is increased and the cutting edges of the cutting tool are protected against damage when removing and fitting the cutting tool, in operation, and in the removed state of the cutting tool. This object is achieved according to the invention by a shield which projects over the cutting edges of the cutting tool, can be attached to the side of the cutting tool assembly facing away from the housing and can be fixed to this assembly. <IMAGE> |
