Strap for marking cattle with a buckle (4) and one or more marks (7,9), whereby each mark (7,9) consists of a flat body of plastic or rubber with a continuous in cross-section rectangular passage corresponding to the cross-sectional form of the strap (1), which body is arranged on the strap (1) in a snugly fitting way and on its flat outer surface is provided with a figure, character or other symbol.
