PURPOSE:To obtain a highly efficient and easily mass-producable fluorescent lamp compatible with an incandescent lamp with high reliability, by employing an ultraviolet ray permeable material for forming a discharge path. CONSTITUTION:When employing an ultraviolet ray permeable glass for forming an inner discharge lamp, the same characteristic with conventional glass coated on both inner and outer faces is achieved by coating only on the inner face of said lamp. Furthermore when employing bare leads 3a, 3b passing in the vicinity of an anode as the leads for supporting a cathode, the discharge path forming material can be selected freely because there is no restrict of the expansion factor matching caused in the conventional tube where the discharge path forming material is connected with a stem through the soldering or adhesion. |
