发明名称 METHOD AND MACHINE FOR WELDING OF LAMINATED PLATES
摘要 PURPOSE:To minimize heat input and to obtain stable joint strength in welding of lamiated plates of which the facings and core parts consisting of thin metallic sheets and synthetic resin layers by conducting electricity from one thin metallic sheet to the other thin metallic sheet through weld zones. CONSTITUTION:Laminated plates 1 consisting of facings 2, 3 of thin metallic sheets and a core part 4 of synthetic resin. Laminated plates 5 consist of facings 6, 7 of thin metallic sheets and a core part 8 of a synthetic resin layer. When electricity is conducted between an electrode 11 and an electrode 12, the current from the electrode 12 flows from the facing 6 through contacts 13 to the facing 2. Since the electric resistance at the points 13 is largest in this case, heat is generated in the contacts 13 and the facings 2, 6 are melted by resistance heat. After the electric current necessary for producing the proper molten parts of the facings 2, 6 at the contacts 13, the molten parts are further pressed with pressing elements 9 and 10, whereby the facings 2, 6 are joined by melting.
