ALKALI-RESISTANT GLASS FIBERS

Alkali-resistant glass fibers comprising about 30 to 60 percent SiO2, 15 to 20 percent Al2O3, 20 to 30 percent CaO, and 1 to 10 percent Fe2O3. The fibers may be prepared from inexpensive materials such as slate and limestone.
