PURPOSE:To obtain an electric current regulator for a welding machine which is simple in construction and is low in manufacturing cost, by starting a motor for regulation of electric current with the output of a discriminating circuit and determining the revolving directions thereof according to the electric current directions of an operating element. CONSTITUTION:In the case of increasing electric current, a rectifier RF1 contg. one end of an operating element is so connected to a holder HL as to direct the direction A and the other end is connected to a base material BM, then a discriminating circuit CL is closed via the operation element. The current flows only to the circuit where the direction of the rectifier RF1 and the directions of the rectifiers RF2, RF3 in the discriminating circuit coincide; therefore, only the series circuit of the rectifier RF2, that is,a relay U, is energized and operated. Thereupon, contacts U2 are closed, and an AC power source conduct electricity to the circuit of a coil RUC, then the relay RU operates. Contacts RU1, RU2 are closed, and the current is applied to a motor M for regulation of current so that the iron core of the main windings of a welding transformer T is moved in the direction toward increasing of the welding current. |
