PURPOSE:To provide function which can introduce a tape to the position of the specified head surface, by increasing the friction of the magnetic recording and reproduction tape at the magnetic head surface in contact with the center of the tape more than that at parts except the center of the tape. CONSTITUTION:In order to increase the friction of the surface of a magnetic head 1 in contact with the lengthwise center of a magnetic tape 4 more than that of the head 1 in contact with both ends of the tape 4, to make the incident angle of the tape 4 to a recording gap 2 and a reproduction gap 3 of the head 4 constant and to suppress the vibration at running of the tape 4, and to increase the friction of parts out of contact parts 5a-5d on the surface of the head 1 to the tape 4, at least one part, than a part 8 in contact with a part 8 in contact with both the ends of the tape 4, a lubricant member such as BN is filled in the part 8. Or, a member increasing the friction is imbedded or bonded to a part 7b, or a center 7c of the head 1 is projected toward the tape 4 from both the ends to obtain larger friction and to introduce the tape to the center automatically. Thus, the damages to tape ends can be prevented. |
