Switch contacts (2, 4), of which one is moving, are arranged in the vacuum of a switch chamber (12). According to the invention, a vacuum-proof and moving part of the switch chamber wall, which can preferably be a spring bellows (6), at the same time forms a part of the housing (16) of a pressure chamber (18) which contains a pressure medium whose pressure is provided to control the moving contact (4). A simple switch drive is obtained using this design, preferably for vacuum switches in the medium-voltage range. <IMAGE>
