1. A machine for grinding machine tools, of the kind comprising a bed (1) for mounting the tool to be ground (3), a column (4) transversely adjustable relative to the aforesaid bed, and a frame (5) movable along the said column, which frame supports a swivelling turret (6) above the bed (1), this turret being equipped with a wheel-bearing spindle (8) capable of being displaced along its axis with the aid of an appropriate adjustment mechanism (13-14-15), characterized in that it also comprises a retractable guide (19) mounted so as to appear, when desired, to indicate the axis of rotation of the turret (6) so that manipulation of the adjustment mechanism (13-14-15), taking into account the lateral offset of the spindle (8) relative to the said axis of rotation, permits the useful face (9a) of the grinding wheel (9) to be brought into the plane passing through this axis simply by bringing the said face into contact with the disappearing guide. |
