An electrical apparatus, especially an electrical tool, is described having a connecting plate (18) onto which the components (11, 12, 14) of the apparatus can be plugged to produce the electrical connections. The connecting plate (18) has a network consisting of metal strips or wires which are embedded in plastic by extrusion coating or welding in, and at the same time can form the plug connections (21, 25, 33), after being bent around. The network is produced in a manner known per se as a stamped grid or by metal strips or wires being embedded. <IMAGE>
