A pipe connection for metal pipes, especially oilfield pipes, having a bolt pipe element and a collar pipe element which can be screwed by means of a conical thread against an abutment surface in the nut pipe element which is orthogonal with respect to the pipe axis and an end surface on the bolt pipe element. The bolt pipe element and the collar pipe element support an integrally-formed circumferential sealing element in a thread-free region adjacent to the end surface and to the abutment surface. The abutment surface supports a seal configuration consisting of a multiplicity of trapezoidal sealing ribs which project from the abutment surface and run concentrically with respect to the pipe axis and concentrically with respect to one another. The end surface of the bolt pipe element supports a multiplicity of machined-in corresponding sealing grooves into which the sealing ribs engage in the screwed-together state. The internal forces occurring during screwing together can be controlled. A reliable metal-to-metal seal is achieved between the abutment surface and the end surface. <IMAGE>
