PURPOSE:To produce laminates having high yeild strength and small elongation by forming a thermoplastic non-stretched synthetic resin layer on mild metallic foil and subjecting the same to cold rolling. CONSTITUTION:Softened metallic foil 1 and a thermoplastic non-stretched synthetic resin layer 2 are laminated and are subjected to cold rolling by means of rolls 3, 3'. The foil 1 consists of Al, copper, tin, iron stainless steel, etc., and is made at about 10-200mu thickness. The resin for forming the layer 2 is required to have the rate of elongation in an about 1,000-30% range, for which, for example, vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, PE, EVA, etc. are used. The surface temp. of the rolls 3, 3' in cold rolling is preferably about 20-100 deg.C, and about 1-2 times of passes are sufficient. The preferable drafts are about 20-60% over the entire part of the laminated layers, about 30-60% for only the foil 1 and about 10-60% for only the resin layer. |
