Current supply contact for electrolysis electrodes

The invention relates to the current supply for electrodes in electrolytic cells. In order to prevent corrosion of any kind whatsoever at the junctions between the current supply contacts and the electrodes, it is proposed that the current supply contact and the electrode body be made of the same material. It is possible either to make a welded joint between these two parts, the material of the current supply contacts and the electrode bodies also being used as welding material, or to make the electrode body and the current supply contact as a single piece, thereby avoiding current transfer problems from the outset.
