The object of the invention was to develop a device which is suitable for transferring a highly explosive gas mixture from the blow-out point, while avoiding mixing with the atmospheric oxygen, to a remote point and to flare it there well above the blow-out point so that work can be carried out safely at the eruption bush and at the same time the environmental pollution is reduced by controlled combustion. Via a supporting frame, a two-piece cover hood, to the sides of which a control system for the air supply is attached, is pushed together over the blow-out point.
