PURPOSE:To discharge the remnant gas by applying a horizontal swirl and upward movement of air by means of an upper scavenging port inclined in the peripheral direction above a lower scavenging port in a uni-flow scavenging type two-cycle internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An upper scavenging port 13 is opened above a lower scavenging port 12' adjacent to the side of the air flow, thereby applying a swirm stream in the peripheral direction of a cylinder liner. The upper scavenging port 13 is inclined at an angle alpha against the axial direction, thus applying an upward movement component. |
