PURPOSE:To print a score easily and speedily by using an OCR as a score input device. CONSTITUTION:In this music reading method, music patterns are stored previously in a dictionary part and music to be printed is read optically and compared with said music patterns to obtain printing data. For this purpose, score 9 to be printed is placed at a prescribed readout position of an OCR10 to a read the 1st page of the score. After the position of the five staffs is determined, a measure line position is detected to detect a note head firstly, and the position relation between the five staffs and note head is determined; and then a note with a note tail is extracted and analyzed, and a nte mark is extracted and analyzed, and checked. When reconfirmation is necessary the process after the note head detection is again repeated, and when no reconfirmation is required a decision whether there is a next measure or not is made and when so, the process after the position detection of said measure line is repeated to read one-page music. |
