PURPOSE:To store a message automatically even if a called party does not respond or is busy, by connecting a caller terminal to which a called party does not respond or is busy, to a storage device, through an exchange control section. CONSTITUTION:A subscriber terminal 2 of a caller makes a call to a subscriber terminal 3 of a called party, then an exchange control section 1 starts a timer 6 when the section 1 detects non-response or busy state of the terminal 3. When the timer 6 informs a prescribed time being elapsed, the terminal 2 is connected to a signal reception circuit 7 to start the monitor of the circuit 7. When the circuit 7 detects a transfer request signal from the terminal 2, the section 1 connects the terminal 2 to a storage device 5 via an exchange network 4. In using hook switch on-off signals, dial pulses or pushphone signals as the transfer request signal, the circuit 7 can be omitted by using the existing circuits. |
