<p>The system accurately effects required cutter deceleration without requiring voltage wires on a master. The system includes a memory storing the coordinates (A1,A2,A3 ..... D'1,D'2) of areas where cutter deceleration is necessary (A,B,C,D). A computer calculates coordinates of interpolated points (F1,F2) in these areas. Current position detectors detect work or tool positions, e.g., starting from set points (E1,E2). Its output is constantly compared with the deceleration area memory content to determine when to effect deceleration. Input to the deceleration area memory is effected e.g. by keyboard if the required coordinates are known or by running a stylus over the master if the coordinates are not known. The system is simpler than a voltage wire system and avoids problems caused by poor stylus to voltage wire contact and variation in voltage wire thickness, etc.</p> |
