<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method in which, in a measuring method for roll shape being measurable in a condition to build a rolling machine into a mill housing, a displacement position against a roll surface of a sensor head, whereto a distance sensor is attached, is determined, and based on said displacement, distance measurements of a roll shape are corrected to perform a high-precise measurement of the roll shape. CONSTITUTION:In a position where a sensor head 22 is shown in a solid line, after distance Gm1, Gm2, Gm3 between distance sensors 271, 272, and 273 respectively and a roll 11 surface are measured by the distance sensors, the head sensor 27 is totally moved by a distance equal to a space DELTAL among the distance sensors 271, 272, and 273, and in a position where the head sensor 27 is shown in a dashed line, distances Gn1, Gn2, and Gn3 between the distance sensors 271, 272, and 273 and the roll 11 surface are measured by said sensors. If differences (Gn2-Gm1) and (Gn1-Gm2) in a distance measurement at a like position among the measurements are determined, and the result serves as a data showing the displacement of the sensor head 22.</p> |
