PURPOSE:To obtain a gravure plate easily that has stable quality by obtaining reference data such as resist's osmosis characteristics and seeking the total corrosion time and cylinder rotation from this reference data and corroding the cylinder according to the information. CONSTITUTION:Reference data is beforehand obtained which consists of data on test liquid permeation time vs. corrosive liquid permeation time at each step of the tone scale for many test of a resist and data on test liquid permeation time vs. cell corrosion in various combinations of corrosion times of various kinds and various rotational speeds of cylinders. By comparing this reference data with the data on the time of permeation of a testing liquid for the resist used on a cylinder that is to be used for printing vs. a set-up amount of cell corrosion, the total corrosion time and the speed of cylinder rotation are beforehand obtained. Gravure cells are formed by corroding a cylinder according to the total corrosion time and the cylinder speed thus obtained. |
