PURPOSE:To increase the presence, by delaying one input signal out of 2-channel input signals in a plurality of different times, calculating the correlation coefficient between each delay signal and the other input signal, and controlling the amount of echo based on the maximum value. CONSTITUTION:One signal y(t) out of 2-channel input signals x(t), y(t) is delayed for different times tau1-taun by using delay devices 111-11n. The respective delay signal is inputted to multipliers 121-12n to form product signals with the other input signal x(t). In passing each product signal through average circuits 131-13n and full-wave rectifier circuits 141-14n, the correlation coefficient between the x(t) and each delay signal can be obtained. A circuit 7 detects the maximum value of the correlation coefficient and outputs echo sound signals from a conventional echo adaptor according to the detected value. Thus, the presence and stereophonic feeling of the reproduced outputted via a speaker can be improved. |
