PURPOSE:To prevent paper dropping due to defective paper nipping and missed paper nipping for a reduced rate of lost paper by pivoting three rollers in parallel in the direction of the chain travel at both ends of a paper nipping claw in the direction of its width, the nipping claw being supported between right and left chains. CONSTITUTION:Between a pair of right and left chains 28 that are provided on a pair of right and left sprockets 26 on a paper winding drum shaft 24 a claw device 50 consisting of a plurality of groups of gripping claws that is provided with a ratchet shaft 31 and a ratchet shaft base 30 that are mutually parallel is supported. At both ends in the direction of width of this device 50 a main roller 39 and auxiliary rollers 40 and 41 that are in parallel with the traveling direction of the chain 28 are pivoted. On the other hand a roller receiving base 42 that is fixed on the side of the paper winding drum shaft 24 is provided with receiving faces 46-48, which bear rollers 39-41 with restraint of their movement in the direction of the chain 28 travel and in the radial direction of the sprocket 26 during engagement of the chain 28 and sprocket 26, and at the same time the paper winding shaft 24 and the device 50 are provided with claw levers 51 that engage during the engagement of the chain 28 and the sprocket 26 to restrain the movement of the device 50 in the direction of its width. |
