PURPOSE:To register an article to be purchased automatically by transmitting article data collected by a cart device which has a collecting function for the article data to an article registering means. CONSTITUTION:Cart 2 provided in a shop 1 have a function of automatically collecting article data on articles thrown in the cart 2. An article code is recorded on each article to be purchased in a mechanically readable state and when this article is thrown in the cart 2, the cart 2 reads its article code to collect article data. Then, the customer moves the cart 2 to a payment counter where an ECR (electronic cash register 4) is installed and then inserts a connection plug 5 into the cart 2 to transmit the article data to the ECR4. Thus, registration to the ECR4 is carried out automatically without key input. |
