PURPOSE:To make an efficient data transmission control possible without address by designating a discrete time position from a pattern signal (synchronizing signal) to each terminal to perform the communication in the data transmission of a branching system. CONSTITUTION:A pulse group 102 which is generated in a controller T at prescribed intervals after a prescribed time from the fall of a pattern signal 101 is obtained, and times T1-T4 are given to terminals 1-1-1-4 respectively. The pattern signal 101 is transmitted from the controller T to terminals 1-1-1-4. A terminal receives this signal; and when a data to be processed exists, the terminal transmits a response pulse 103 to the controller in the time position allocated to this terminal. The controller transmits a reply pulse 104 to the terminal in the same time position for confirmation. By this reply pulse, the controller reports it to other terminals that the controller is in service. A specific terminal is designated by a designating pulse 202 to make data transfer or the like possible. |
