PURPOSE:To illuminate an object without being noticed by the visitor by irradiating the visitor with infrared rays for a prescribed time and receiving the reflected light by an infrared solid-state image pickup element to record a picture. CONSTITUTION:When the visitor depresses a switch 1 interlocked with an interphone, a starting a signal is issued from a circuit to start a still picture recording unit 7. The unit 7 starts to supply power to an infrared lamp 6 throgh a dimmer 5 to irradiate the visitor with infrared rays. The reflected light from the visitor is detected by a photodetecting unit 11, and an optimum intensity of illumination for object is operated in a comparison controlling part 9 to control the intensity of infrared rays of the infrared lamp 6. After obtaining the optimum intensity of illumination for objects, scanning of an infrared solid-state image pickup element 11' is started to record a picture signal on the unit 7. Because of the use of infrared rays, the optimum intensity of illumination for objects is obtained without being noticed by the visistor. |
