PURPOSE:To restart the system operation in a short time, by setting always relief call information to a stand-by system in duplex exchanges and eliminating the interruption of a call generated at the restart time. CONSTITUTION:In duplex exchange system consisting of channel system devices 15 and 16, memories 13 and 14, and call controlling processors 11 and 12, calls are classified to the relief state and the non-relief state preliminarily, and the current system discriminates whether each call is in the relief state or not. Call relief information is set to the memory of the stand-by system in respect to calls judged to be in the relief state, and the memory of the stand-by system is so initialized that new calls can be accepted in respect to calls judged to be in the non-relief state; and when the current system is switched to the stand- by system, the stand-by system restarts the call processing in the state where the memory of this system is preliminarily set. |
