PURPOSE:To make it possible that the operator waits the reception of a character signal at ease, by displaying the required queuing time to be allowed to watch a desired page in a character broadcast receiver. CONSTITUTION:The television signal including a character signal is received by an antenna 1 and a receiving circuit 2, and only the character signal is separated by a character signal separating circuit 3 to display on a CRT5. The character signal is converted to a parallel signal by a parallel processing circuit 6 and is inputted to a comparator 7. Meanwhile, the number of a desired page is inputted from a keyboard 11 and is encoded by an encoder 12 and is inputted to an nth-notation counter 10. Contents of the nth-notation counter 10 and the parallel signal are compared in the comparator 7 to store a signal indicating the difference from the desired page in a counter 13. Thereafter, this difference is converted to a queuing time to display on a display element 22. |
